Stream live to iPad and HTML5 with Flash Media Server
April 12th, 2011
Adobe has just previewed at NAB in Las Vegas a streaming technology that allows HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) via MPEG2 in addition to Flash streaming.
Reach next to Flash enabled devices also iPad and other HTML5 browsers (with HLS support, such as Safari) with Flash Media Server.
Have a look at this sneak peek video, where Kevin Towes shows these features

Do you have a detailed documentation of the settings? I downloaded Flash Server and FMLE 3.2, but I can’t get the m3u8 file to output. I can receive a f4m file, but no m3u8. I am trying the out of the box configuration of the Flash Server that I found on an Adobe Tutorial:
FMS URL: rtmp://localhost/livepkgr
Stream: livestream%i?adbe-live-event=liveevent&adbe-http-streaming-ver=1.0
I couldn’t get it to work, so I tried using curl to receive the m3u8 file and it says file not found. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Eric

Nice, is it possible to have the files from this demo? Does it works on FMS4 only?

I might add Internet play next and I’m checking out the options for a server.
